Who to watch when you are looking for Stream advice?

Starting to stream can be a little bit of a scary situation. If you are new to streaming you will find out very quickly that just popping into someones stream and promoting and or trying to ask streaming questions may result in a time out or viewed as a self promotion. Never fear, There is a lot of resources out there on the web and across different platforms for you to dig deep into how and what or even as far as reviews of different products related to streaming as well too! In no particular order here is some folks who I have seen in the space of helping and giving tips and tricks to streamers!

E-Book: https://streamcoachbook.com/
She has been KILLING the stream coaching side of streaming. As someone who started streaming many years ago to little to no viewers. She made the decision to take time off of streaming and do her research. She wanted to be successful and the best way was to study what makes people successful in streaming. She now streams to anywhere from 150-200+ people and makes YouTube videos once a week. She has created an E-book as well which I have dipped my toes in but feel like I will get some more time to read this once this baby is born and I have lots of free time in the evenings when you know, I’m not able to sleep or have to do late night feeding as well too! Regardless check out her links for all streaming needs. I know I’m a few videos behind but I will be diving into them ASAP to get all the latest things for how I can improve my stream! She also does a podcast as well too. There really is a lot of platforms and information you can get from the lady herself! And if you are busy doing something and want to listen to advice and content I would 110% recommend checking out her on ANY of these spaces.

Though he touches on a wide range of subjects in the realm of streaming. If you are looking for comparisons and product knowledge I would 110% say check out his YouTube. There is a butt load of Product information to which mics to use, which camera is the best, fancy tech that has come out AND even videos on PC builds as well too. Harris is also know as the “Stream Doctor”. If you have questions I would recommend popping into his streams. Not to say every stream he is answering questions because a lot of the questions are the same however just listening to the stream and being a part of his ever so active discord as well with plenty of folks willing to also help people in any way! For example, Just the other day you could see him asking on his twitter who has questions and he would do his best to respond to all of them. Ive even asked questions myself and he has responded. Not to mention just reading these tweets alone can be huge as well too because there are A LOT of people asking questions.

Now, Before I begin I am for sure guilty of not watching Devin a lot however I have seen a few youtube videos on his channel about growth and in depth discussions related to streaming. I’m not entirely sure how his twitch is but if your looking for some conversations and a different perspective I would check out his videos. He talks about the things that streamers do wrong, why certain streamers leaving twitch change a lot of things, and even videos on growth. All knowledge that when you are trying to find new ways and think of ideas to re-invent yourself or gain more for your channel the more information you have the better!

MegaDorkVikki is a mindset coach as well as motivational/public speaker. She has a lot for special guest on her twitch channel talking about the industry and the mindsets it takes in order to be successful. One of her core values is “Empower others to be their best selves. Lift others up, instead of tearing them down”. You can catch her on Tuesdays and Saturdays on her channel however there is a lot of other days where she has planned interviews as well too! Which if you are looking to catch one of these streams best bet would be to follow her twitter and be sure to keep up to date on off day streams as well too!

As you can see these are just the few I have looked into and obviously I myself have a lot of things to catch up on with all of these individuals! Remember that even though they all have great advice as well too, Find your own way and use these tools as a way to grow who YOU are. There is no one set way or one type of advice you can follow in order to be successful. However the more knowledge you have, the better it will be for you to figure out what works for you and what doesn’t work as well. I know I have tried things myself and though they don’t work all the time being consistent can also help! There really isn’t a one tip fix and with any advice and tips to help grow they all take work. The best comparison I can give for streaming is Hollywood. How many people every year go down to Hollywood in hopes of trying to be the next big movie star and how many of those people get turned away or don’t have the stuff in order to be this successful. Do your research and prepare yourself for the journey ahead! Anyone can make anything successful if you know what you are getting into and what not!

If there is anyone who inspires you or helps you in a way, Let me know and Ill update or add them to a future who to look for blog post!
